About Me

I am a highly qualified science educator with over 13 years of experience teaching across a range of school settings. I graduated from the University of Durham with a 2:1 degree in Chemistry in 2011 and completed my PGCE in Secondary Science in 2012. Since then, I have taught Chemistry, Biology, and Physics up to GCSE level and specialise in teaching Chemistry at A Level.

I have extensive experience with a variety of exam boards and curricula, including Key Stage 3 science programmes, Edexcel GCSE, Edexcel iGCSE, Edexcel A Level, and OCR A Level Chemistry. This breadth of knowledge allows me to guide students confidently through the subject content and examination demands of their specific course.

Throughout my career, I have worked in a number of schools, contributing to science departments and supporting students with a wide range of academic abilities. I am trained as a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and hold a Level 2 Award in Counselling Children, both of which strengthen my ability to provide a professional and supportive learning environment.

Over the years, I have built a strong record of helping students deepen their understanding of complex scientific ideas and achieve meaningful improvements in their academic performance. My subject expertise, qualifications, and curriculum experience form a solid foundation for students aiming to grow in confidence and succeed in science.
